Goode Company BBQ Pecan Pie

So Les came to town yesterday, and we met him despite the flooding dowtown and ate Goode Company BBQ. I love their BBQ, but ever since Grandma Malin got a piece of Pecan Pie there, I have really liked their Pecan Pie, it is the best I've ever had (I am not a huge fan of Pecan Pie, but apparently Good Company Barbecuque's is soo good they have a drive through pie service at Thanksgiving and it is really good). Anyway, this girl had the recipe, and since Grandma gave me a gallon of Pecans for Christmas.... So I modified it a little, I just need Gary to make me a beautiful deep dish pie plate now. Julie gave this to me last year, and I killed the starter, then Les gave it to me a few months ago...lets see how long it lasts. 1 cup live yeast starter (see above) day 1: Do nothing with the starter. days 2-5: Stir with a wooden spoon. day 6: Add 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, and 1 cup milk. Stir with a wooden spoon. days 7-9: Stir with a wooden spoon. Day 10: Add 1 1/2 cup flour, 1 1/2 cup sugar and 1 1/2 cup milk. Stir. Take out 3 cups and place 1 cup each into three separate plastic containers. Give one cup and a copy of this recipe to three friends.
